belphegor

by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Chatter

BELPHEGOR emerges as one of the most extreme line ups to ever come out of the death black metal scene. The band members themselves describe their hellride as "Supreme Death/ Black Metal Art” The now legendary demo on Maxi Cd format, BLOODBATH IN PARADISE, is circulated within the underground and earns BELPHEGOR the reputation of an unrepentant, blasting war machine. 1995: The first studio album, THE LAST SUPPER, is released on Lethal Records and is a welcomed collection of infernal hymns for their growing fan base. Following their own path of sin and befitting their ever-evolving anti-religious, anti-life attitude, BELPHEGOR’s logo gets revamped to incorporate two inverted crosses completely surrounded by blood representing the slaughter of Christians and martyrs. Last Episode Records releases BLUTSABBATH. BELPHEGOR’s sinister reputation continues to gain momentum. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Kassel, Germany, and featuring artwork by Seth Siro Anton PESTAPOKALYPSE VI is, on the one hand, a concept album based on The Devil, Pestilence, and The Apocalypse, and on the other, a lesson in infernology. Incorporating unconventional harmonies with dynamic execution and monumentally aggressive vocal work, its multi-language approach (the German verses in “Bluhtsturm Erotika” are taken from the works of Marquis de Sade & Goethe; “Sanctus Perversum” defiles the church’s monopoly on Latin) accurately represents the infernal musical landscape BELPHEGOR comfortably inhabits. Accept it: our world is necessarily haunted by evil, and when the armies of the dead return with their pestilence to annihilate the living, there will be no better guides while traveling down the fiery road to the endless abyss of Hell than BELPHEGOR. With their seventh Album, suitably titled BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE, the Death/ Black Metal institution crushes all their previous releases! A real massacre of pounding Death Metal and majestic, hyper fast Black Metal spread out over nine killer songs full of diabolical possession, and pure darkness! BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE is their most mature effort up to day, this time BELPHEGOR have managed to melt ultra blastbeats and heaviness to one union. The Fleischwerk was once again recorded in three sessions form November 2007 to January 2008 with Andy Classen in the famous Stage One Studios in Kassel/Germany – guarantying a smashing and powerful production. The concept of the album is inspired by the infamous Marquis De Sade (1740 – 1814), giving the lyrics of the album a blessed touch of Evil. As on the last album, the vocals are held in English, German and Latin. BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE is once again a lesson in violence and a true offering when it comes to crushing Metal with the extra punch in the face. BELPHEGOR continue to keep the fucking devil and demonic spirit in Metal music alive... resources by: Myspace, belphegor, spirit of metal

ORTH

by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Chatter

Orth has been established in Berlin in 1989.The band is with no doubt one of the first Deathmetal Bands in Germany. Now, after 20 years of existence, the standing for a diverse, varied and also headstrong mix of Deathmetal, Grindcore, Thrashmetal with strong groove hardcore influence. The band surprised since the beginning with a brutal mixture of technical structures, explosive aggression, merciless breaks and partly german texts, the german metal scene and composed new impulses. Orth improved their style constantly. The members are working on their new album "godmode" in the moment, which will be published in 2009. Orth is clearly taking an attitude to the problems in our society, without loosing the humor and the fun of playing! Brutal and honest that..s Orth! Highly motivated and ready to introduce the new album, are all the members of Orth: Founder member singer und guitarist, greek origin, Hannes. With his brutal singing (without using effects), an open charisma and his presence on stage - he is a distinctive character and the good soul of the band for years. Brian, with polish, german and French blood in his venes, is the guitarist. He brings a lot of experience into the band. Also he is a very good and long friend, so it is impossible to imagine Orth without him. A real lucky choise is our new drummer (2009), Tyronne Silva, born in Sri Lanka and living in Berlin. Because of his perfect technical drumming, we found a very talented, professionel and humanly drummer. He will push the band and the music in the future. He is also filling a hole, which was distracting us since a while and holding us back. Our Bass player is temporarily only. It's a pitty, but we hope to find a good man so, who can take his part over. We are getting prepared for our concerts, which are coming up soon, so we can bring our audiances to rock with us and show stage presence in germany and other coutries. Orth is going to burn down all borders with their new label and going to send it out with full power in Europe to improve new metal fans. resources by: Myspace, spirit of metal

DISAVOWED

by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Chatter

Inspired by bands like Suffocation, Pyrexia, Vader and Dying Fetus, Disavowed was formed in 2000 from the remnants of Nocturnal Silence. With the goal to write music that is brutal, yet well structured, technical and catchy, 3 songs were written and recorded soon after Disavowed formed. The demo CD entitled ‘Point of Few’ resulted in good responses from all over the deathmetal scene and finally led to a record deal with the American label Unique Leader Records (Deeds of Flesh, Disgorge). In 2001 the first full length CD entitled ‘Perceptive Deception’ was released, followed by a 5-week tour in the United States and Canada in 2002 and a 4-week European tour in 2003. In May 2006 Romain Goulon (Agressor, Arsebreed) joined Disavowed as the new drummer. After doing summer festivals, Disavowed started the recording of Stagnated Existence, the successor of Perceptive Deception. Robbe K (www.audiovisualz.com) took the lead in the recording and production of the new album, with assistance of the well-known Excess Studios. This new album shows the growth of Disavowed musically, without compromising brutality and aggressiveness. Disavowed’s goal was to make a CD that is diverse, catchy, well produced and fast, and according to many reviewers these goals have been achieved. To promote Stagnated Existence, Disavowed joined Cannibal Corpse in March 2007 for a 5-week European tour. The energetic shows were received with great enthusiasm by the European crowds and fed Disavowed’s hunger for more shows and tours. As such, Disavowed will head to the Maryland Deathfest in May 2008, in the meantime various shows throughout Europe will take place. resources by: http://www.disavowed.nl. http://www.spiritofmetal.com

IMPALED

by admin on Dec.29, 2009, under Chatter

For more than a decade since 1997, the dank corners of Oakland, California have been plagued by a goretet of madmen bent on perverting goodwill to ill-will, virtue to violence, and kindness to killing. They have sought nothing less than the complete destruction of all that is good. The world has rued the day that Impaled came to be. Begat by guitarist/vocalist Sean McGrath and joined by drummer Raul Varela, Impaled created an ethic to destroy the weak, the sick, the frail, the poseurs. The pair enlisted the services of Leon del Muerte on guitar and vocals and Ross Sewage on bass and vocals to create a line-up that would take the underground by storm. The follow up EP, 2003's Medical Waste, included unreleased tracks and Impaled's first gory music video. It was met with universal scorn and condemned as an abomination against humanity. The same year, Impaled composed a tale too horrible for one band to tell, so Spain's Haemorrhage rose to the occasion and conspired in the 2003 split-CD release from Razorback Records, "Dementia Rex." Sadly, Andrew LaBarre would not survive the experience, and was replaced by guitarist/vocalist extraordinaire, Jason Kocol. 2004 saw Impaled catapulted into the limelight when they inked a deal to record for Century Media Records. The kings of screams then coerced one Trey Spruance, of Mr. Bungle and Secret Chiefs 3 fame, to man the helm for the production of the world's sickest concept album, "Death After Life." Over the next two years, the release of the album and another abominable video thrust Impaled further onto the world stage. In addition to touring America and into Mexico with bands such as Disfear, Aborted and Napalm Death, Impaled lay waste to the continent of Europe with Deeds of Flesh and massacred Japan side-by-side with General Surgery. Now in 2007, ten years since the massacre began, Impaled returns with their most deadly effort to date. Working with Willowtip Records, the release of Impaled's fourth full-length is bound to crush their enemies and give rise to the bloodlust of their fans. Replete with scalpel sharp riffs, blinding speed, and hooks that rip your lips off, "The Last Gasp" is a record you won't survive.
